- Lecture-Unlimited attendance, half-day
- This large group lecture presentation focuses on integrating digital photography into our busy practices. It is a general overview of photography, emphasizing the digital format and its use for dentistry. The full dental diagnostic digital series is discussed as well as positioning of the dentist, patient and assistant for each clinical view. Mirror and retractor techniques are covered.
- Hands-On Workshop-Limited attendance, half-day
- This small-group participation session is where we actually learn to take the complete dental diagnostic digital photographic series. Each person is encouraged to bring a clinical digital camera, mirrors and retractors. For those who have not purchased a camera or equipment, cameras and supplies will be available. You will practice taking each clinical image, emphasizing photographer, patient, and assistant positioning as well as retracting and mirror placement techniques. Computer photo storage and retrieval management will be discussed and practiced using a simple consumer program (ACDSee™).
This session can be held in your dental office, my dental office or at any study club location. If the group is larger than 8, I will partner with another presenter. The best group is size 4. Each can play the role of photographer, patient, assistant and observer.
